I hope everyone is having a wonderful day! Last week was quite productive for the planning phase of the AI system. During every stage of development, I go through a planning refinement process so that I can make sure everything is as organized as possible before I start to implement code. This week I will actually start coding things into the game for the AI and AI company decision making processes. So today I want to talk a bit about this without giving away too much detail. I want to make sure you do not know the inner workings of the AI’s thought process, however the way I am creating this, it will be setup to be as unpredictable as possible. So let’s begin!
My plan for the AI is that each AI company is capable of independent thought regarding what it does and the decisions it makes. So in the game, I am approaching the AI in a way that allows it to evaluate the world conditions and its own current situation before making decisions.
Another Monday, another update! In this one I wanted to go back and go over some new game-play details on video with you. The last video was lacking in key information (I blame it on being under the weather), but in this video I hope to give you a better idea of what is to come.

Here is another Monday (monthly) update and this one includes a video. So the last time I showed a video, I showcased some of the product creation process among other things. Everything has come along much more since, so I want to show you some of what I’ve done this month.
I hope everyone had a great weekend and a great start to this new week. Here is our 7th Monday update and I am very happy to say that we are moving at a very good pace toward the release date. This past week was intense with a lot of programming and designing/planning. In the end I have finally put in the product creation process from product design to product manufacturing and shipping. All that is left to do in this regard is to add the other products in and then all the product related functionality will be entirely in the game. This is a huge milestone for the game and it is paving the way for the final stretches of development. As before, I want to be as transparent as possible about where I am and what I am doing week by week on the game. In that regard, the biggest aspects of the game that I have left to tackle is of course the AI, more game assets, UI/HUD design and other game-play aspects in the game. It is going to be an intensive final stretch, hopefully free of any setbacks and hiccups. I’m very excited and can’t wait until I can show you more game-play. Now let’s get to this week’s plans.
Hello everyone! Another week, and another step toward the end of the development trail. I have been very busy and everything is coming together very well. It is a very humbling and enjoyable experience to watch your ideas come to life. Developing this game has been a very interesting experience filled with a lot of stress, pressure, reward, excitement and exhilaration. At the end of the day, I wouldn’t trade the experience for anything. However, now I will share the plans for this week. I will also give a release window.
Hello everyone! I am starting another week of game development and things are going very well. I am focusing on getting everything into the game as fast as I can so that I can start testing for bugs, balancing, and fine-tuning the end-game game-play. In the game, there will be phases that you the player go through as you march your way to elite tech executive mogul status. Of course before you can reach that milestone, you have to get out of the blocks. In this journal, I will be talking about the beginning of the game. As for the other half, I want to let you know what I will be working on this week and further into the month. So let’s begin.
Hello everyone! This week we are moving forward to more technical game-play features. In particular, how the game time will work, the game world and the map function, statistics and feedback presented. So I will talk a bit about our thought processes and how we will go about fleshing out the details and functionality. Before we begin though, I would like to discuss the success of the previous weeks.
We have come a long way since just a month ago, and what is in the game now is looking good and functioning good as well. We have more to do, but the distance to the finish line is getting smaller and smaller. Again, our goal is to create a really fun game and not just put another title out there. We take pride in our talents, creativity and skill and we hope you like what we’ve come up with. Please stay tuned for the update video coming at the end of the month. As a result, this Monday update is a little shorter than usual. We are gearing up to present our next game-play video to you. However, our top priority is to continue to finish and improve the game, so we have a very interesting week ahead of us. We are quite excited.
Hello everyone! Each week, I will try to write a journal entry for development for the week. Update 17 was just posted and we’re in our huge push to finish the game in a decent amount of time. We have a lot to do yet, but we’re closer than we’ve ever been. So to help you deal with the time until release, I’ve decided to post journal entries so that I can take you on this ride with me through different parts of development.

I’m currently working on items that you the player will be able to purchase for your employees as well as your in game avatar. So this includes; Desks, Computers and chairs among other things. This week, I’ve been working on the CRT monitor that was the standard back in the 90’s. So far we’ve only shown one computer model and that one is part of our modern take on computers.
As far as game-play goes, computers add a boost to the speed of the employee using them. Speed in the game is an important attribute as you will be dealing with deadlines and timetables that need to be met, and some situations more than others. If you are picking up contract work, then it becomes even more important.

The development of the game has been a journey so far and a very rewarding and interesting one. Thank you all for helping me create this game! Your support has been greatly appreciated and I look forward to bringing the final product to you. Lately I have been working on the most intricate details of the game, creating the AI logic, detailing that logic and trying to create a game that responds and reacts to your actions and decisions. Being that this is my first game, it is a very involved process, complete with stress and hair pulling. In the end, it is going very well so far and I’m happy to say that so far we are on track for a mid-2015 release of the game.
